About Us
The Shepherd Company was born out of one man's desire for Italian wine and the culture that is embedded in each unique wine production region. All of our wines have been personally selected by Terry Scott, company president. Terry has over 35 years of experience with wines from all over the world and has traveled nearly every inch of Italy in his pursuit of Italian wine. The company was created from his desire to share his Italian wine experiences with local friends and family.
The company began business with a few select retailers in Montana which allowed Terry's friends access to only a few treasures that he described to them at dinner parties. Eventually interest grew in these tales of outstanding wine and the time for expansion was apparent. He began by enlisting his son, Jeff Scott. Jeff became and is currently the company's sole wine marketer and salesman.
After acquiring more Montana retailer accounts and expanding our portfolio to over 60 wines, the decision was made to explore the idea importing to the national market. Although the company is looking to expand business nationally as an Italian wine importer, we still continue to offer quality Italian wines at an excellent price to Montana retailers.
